1st Day

Remove the wrap in 1-3 hours.

Wash your new tattoo. Here's how:
Get tattoo wet with warm water. Make a lather in your hands with a new bar of Ivory Soap. Wash the tattoo with your fingers, gently yet thoroughly. You need to wash off all your plasma (white blood cells)
Rinse off the soap thoroughly, but without soaking your new tattoo.

Pat dry with clean towel or paper towel, do not rub.

Apply a very light layer of BagBalm or TattooGoo to your tattoo. *note* BagBalm contains Lanolin - you could get a slight rash if you are allergic to wool *

(Too much water or product can cause scabbing, scarring and remove the color.)

Week 1
Wash, rinse, pat dry and lightly BagBalm or TattooGoo your tattoo 2 times each and every day.

Weeks 2 - 4

Continue washing as stated above. You can switch from the BagBalm or TattooGoo to any lotion that is color free and fragrance free. Use a light application of this as well.

Always wash your tattoo before putting on any lotion or salve.

The skin will itch and peel as it heals. DO NOT PICK or SCRATCH IT!

It can take from 1 week to 1 month to heal completely, depending on the size and location of your tattoo.

For 4 weeks after getting your new tattoo:

  • DO NOT SWIM/SOAK your tattoo in any kind of water
  • NO DIRECT SUNLIGHT & DO NOT TAN.
  • DO NOT USE SUNBLOCK for the first 4 weeks.
  • DO NOT WEAR TIGHT FITTING clothing in area of new tattoo.
  • this includes bra-straps, waistbands of pants... & NO socks on ankle or foot tattoos!
HEY!

If this is too much to remember, try to remember this:

CLEAN and DRY - very important! AND KEEP YOUR FINGERS OFF
